THE STUDENT HOTEL

The design for The Student Hotel Berlin seeks to respect some of the recognizable existing elements typical for Berlin’s interior buildings made of concrete and mostly with visible installations, recreating the underground mood from the German capital.
With the integration of some softer materials and elements a sensation of home comfort is created.
The layout of the space plays with an open common area connecting the different spaces.
The hotel’s restaurant and bar mixes different types of seating and lighting features that remind us of Berlin’s night clubs.
A running track and a versatile square with different games and seating areas was created for the inner courtyard.
The graphic for the floor from the running track continues on the façade from one of the buildings, creating a visual attraction point for the hotel.
